| HP has implemented password protection to better protect HP's proprietary PA-RISC hardware troubleshooting diagnostic tools and improve business controls for the distribution of HP service diagnostics and tools. The tools which have been password protected have historically been, and continue to be, for use to facilitate HP service personnel delivery of support to HP customers who are covered by an HP hardware support agreement or hardware carepack.
HP is willing to provide the passwords to those hardware support customers that feel they need access to these tools in order to improve HP's responsiveness to hardware problems when they occur. However, if you are not knowledgeable in the use of these tools, access to the passwords and tools is not advised. Misuse of the hardware diagnostic tools can result in serious system problems. If you inadvertently cause damage to your system through misuse of these tools and need HP assistance repairing that damage, you will incur additional expense not covered by your HP 3000 or HP 9000 support agreement.
If you have a current HP system hardware support agreement or hardware carepack and feel you need a password for the hardware diagnostics tools in order to facilitate HP's delivery of hardware support, please select continue below.
Only those tools which are specific to hardware troubleshooting will be password protected. The following diagnostic tools (system administration and verification) will continue to be delivered on HP systems free of charge without password protection. Please note that this list is subject to change.
